Can you offer a home to an extra special bunny?

These rabbits are all seeking new homes through no fault of their own. They are all either rescued buns, unclamed lost and found buns, retired breeding buns or unwanted pets.

Do you think you are able to give one of these special rabbits a second chance of happiness?  Ask yourself these questions;

1) Can you dedicate a little time each day to talk and play with your new rabbit?

2) Can you afford to feed, house and pay veterinary bills for your rabbit ?(rabbits can live up to 10-12 years)

3) Have you done any research on rabbits, their needs and care?

If you can answer yes to these three questions please feel free to email me for more information.

All rabbits available for rehoming from onyx stud have had a health check - all unclaimed lost and found buns have been held for a minimum of 8 weeks while we have tried to locate their owners. All buns leave with a weeks supply of food and care booklet. And written notes about any history known about the bun.

  Sometimes circumstances change and people find that they can no longer care for their bun the way it needs. If you find you need to rehome your pet why not email me a pic and details. I will add your pet to this page. There are loads of potential new owners out there searching for their perfect pet/companian - maybe we could bring some of them together ;).

For everybunny there is somebunny to love them!

Just got this first alert email through from RWA

The help line has just received a call from a member of the public who has been renting his home to a young lady who has just left his property. Left in the house are 79 mini lops housed in 60 cages. Ages range from 6 weeks to 3 1/2 years. Feeding them is costing the caller a small fortune, and his greatest concern is that they need re-homing as soon as possible. The RWA have given him the telephone numbers of all the rescues in Oxfordshire who might be able to help, but as we know most rescues are full. Rabbit Re-home has also been asked to help by publishing the details.

If you know of anyone looking for a bunny and can help in any way, please contact Ben Preston on 01235 224790 or the RWA help line. We have suggested that Ben contacts his local newspaper to ask them to run an appeal. Sadly if we cannot get these animals homed, the majority will have to be put to sleep. Do you know of a rescue shelter close to you that could help by taking on just a couple and would you be willing to transport the bunnies from Oxforshire? If so, please contact Ben.
